Clover High School Scholarship
Clover Rotary seeks to recognize a Senior at Clover High School who has demonstrated a heart for “Service Above Self.” One $2,000 scholarship is given each year. The Scholarship is awarded to a student who has exemplified exceptional commitment to community service through volunteering and dedication to their chosen service organization or purpose. Funds for the scholarship are raised from a number of Clover Rotary fundraisers held throughout the year.
Applications are available at the Clover High School Counseling Center starting in January and must be submitted to that office by the deadline (typically mid-March). The Clover Rotary Club does not distribute or collect applications.

Eligibility
Applicants must be a graduating senior at Clover High School and seeking a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree or vocational degree from an accredited institution in the United States.
Criteria
The Service Above Self Scholarship Award will be awarded to a student who has exemplified exceptional commitment to community service through volunteering and dedication to their chosen service organization or purpose. Please note that while academic performance and financial need will also be considered, they are not the primary criteria for selection.
Students applying for this scholarship should understand that the Clover Rotary Club Scholarship Committee is looking for community service that goes beyond simply volunteering. We seek to award the scholarship to a student that has demonstrated leadership skills on service projects that have had a positive impact on the community and have achieved success in fulfilling the mission of the chosen service organization/purpose.
Evaluation of the Applicant
Applicant will be evaluated based on community service experience(s), academics and financial need. In addition to the completed application, applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a Principal, Counselor, or Teacher that addresses the Applicant’s qualifications for the Service Above Self Scholarship. The letter of recommendation must be in a sealed envelope and must address community service, academic successes, and other factors that will assist in the evaluation of the application.
