Vance M. Stine

Vance Stine is a Clover native graduate of Clover High School (‘74). He then graduated from Lees McRae Jr. College (’76) and UNC-Chapel Hill (‘78), receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Vance is President of Sifford-Stine Insurance Agency, a family-owned independent insurance agency. He was recognized by the Independent Insurance Agents of South Carolina as Agent of the Year in 2019. He served as Past-President of the Clover Rotary Club (Charter Member) and the Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce. Vance served on the Clover Town Council for 10 years and 6 of those years as Mayor of Clover from 1995 – 2001. Vance served as the founding President of the Clover YMCA, and former board member of the Upper Palmetto YMCA. He is a
Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum (Charlotte Region). He has served on the board of many non-profits in Clover and York County through the years.
Vance is currently the President of the South Carolina Horse Council and serves as the Southeast Region Director for the American Endurance Ride Conference. He and his wife, Vic ride endurance horses, completing the Tevis Cup, 100 miles, One Day Western States Trail Ride in 2019. His hobbies include horses, motorcycles, and hiking.
